The Shopify Revenue Leak Checklist — 15 things to check tonight
Fifteen checks you can run on your own store in about twenty minutes, on the phone in your hand. Each one is a yes/no, so at the end you have a score and a shortlist rather than a feeling.
What's in it
Fifteen checks in three groups, each with a yes/no self-score and a tag for how much work the fix actually is — theme setting, developer, or not worth doing.
- 01
Five store-wide leaks
The ones that cost you on every page at once — speed, navigation, and the things a first-time visitor cannot find.
For example: how many taps from your homepage to the thing you sell most of?
- 02
Five product page leaks
Where most of the money goes. Photography, fit and sizing, reviews, and the questions your page leaves unanswered next to the buy button.
For example: can a first-time visitor see the price without scrolling, on a phone?
- 03
Five cart and checkout leaks
The last stretch, where the visitor has already decided to buy and the store talks them out of it.
For example: is the total — including shipping — visible before the final step?
What you do with the score
Under 8 and there is almost certainly a five-figure fix sitting in the first group. Between 8 and 12 and the problem is usually the product page, not the traffic. Above 12 and you are past checklists — that is when it is worth someone opening your page and looking properly.
